The position will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting related functions. Responsible for data analysis, verification and accuracy, proper coding, and data entry into the system. Supports plant accountant/HR supervisor in various areas of accounts payable, payroll, and operations accounting. Also provides support to human resource needs as required in recruiting, employee selection, orientation, and communications. The position is based in Louisville, Kentucky and reports to the Plant Accountant/HR Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collects, verifies, codes, and enters accounts payable and hourly payroll information related to Louisville Division operations. Investigates and helps resolve discrepancies. Compiles data to assist with various audits.
  • Supports general accounting function by providing verification and analysis of performance metrics/accounting data. Participates in closing process and helps prepare accounting documents, records, and reports for timely presentation. Participates in inventory and balance sheet reconciliation process.
  • Provides data entry support to various division functions and completes required analysis/report generation.
  • Serves as Computerized Maintenance Management System administrator. Works closely with maintenance department to maintain CMMS system and drive PM program documentation. Applies parts to work orders and directs yearly CMMS inventory. Maintains regular cycle count procedure and reviews results/recommends discrepancy resolution.
  • Serves as Record Retention administrator for the Louisville Division operations. Leads regular records disposition efforts and coordinates retrieval with off-site storage facility.
  • Maintains and manages petty cash account.
  • Provides back-up support to Human Resource responsibilities as required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Required: Two years of practical experience in accounting/payroll support environment.
  • Required: Associate’s Degree in Accounting with exposure to an integrated software system or combination of education and experience.
  • Desired: Minimum of 4 years of accounting support in a manufacturing setting with responsibilities in both general accounting and payroll calculation.
