Human Resource / Buyer Administrator — Louisville, KY

The position will be responsible for performing a variety of daily human resources, purchasing, and materials planning activities. Key HR responsibilities will include employee relations, compensation and benefits, training development, and providing support in recruiting, employee selection, orientation, and communications. Purchasing and Materials Planning responsibilities include issuing purchase orders for supplies and services and following-up on delivery to ensure component inventory levels are maintained. As well as working closely with accounting to ensure timeliness and accuracy of purchase orders and invoicing. The position is based in Louisville, Kentucky and reports to the Plant Accountant/HR Supervisor.

Key HR Responsibilities:
  • Monitors and maintains employee time and attendance program and provides actionable information to management
  • Prepares employee communications and special events recognition programs
  • Maintains employee badge/time reporting process
  • Establishes and maintains constructive communication with all levels of the organization in regard to policies, procedures and practices
  • Drives hiring process to include application review, interview scheduling, applicant evaluation and selection
Key Purchasing Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for issuing purchase orders and following up with suppliers to provide routine updates on delivery schedules for a variety of services, supplies and material
  • Assists in the planning and procurement of finished good requirements from outside distribution centers
  • Assists in planning and procurement of aluminum extrusions from Juarez division
  • Enters and maintains inventory data to produce summary reports
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Required: Minimum 2 years of practical experience in general human resource, purchasing, and/or materials procurement area in a manufacturing setting
  • Desired: Three to five years of experience in general human resource, purchasing, and/or materials planning with emphasis in a manufacturing setting. Two year college degree
