Product Manager

The Product Manager will be fully involved in product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle to support the business in ensuring revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. 
  • Responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of all product specifications in commercial and technical data.
  • The development of all product labelling commensurate with the requirements of National Standards and user safety.
  • Analyzing product performance and predicting product Life Cycle trends.
  • Evaluating new product development opportunities for the UK and European market.
  • Completing customer product data forms for new and modified product listings
  • To analyze the effectiveness of sourced product promotions and provide summary reporting.
  • To attend external trade shows as required either as a visitor evaluating product opportunities or supporting sales as the product expert.
  • To liaise with internal and external supply partners to ensure the correct positioning and accuracy of the Werner Co European product range.
  • To actively Project Manage key projects within the scope of the product management /development range of responsibilities.
  • To liaise closely with the Finance team in respect of product costing and profitability analysis.
  • To evaluate and monitor Werner Co competitors in Europe.
  • To take an active role as a key member of the Werner co team in the development of product strategy
  • To produce a monthly report summarizing key Product Management activity.
  • Other ad hoc assignments as may be required.
Required:
  • Degree educated or proven Product Management experience
  • Currently operates as Junior Product Manager, Assistant Product Manager, Product Manager
  • Background in Manufacturing in FMCD
  • Good communicator able to liaise with different disciplines both internally and externally
  • Ability to understand the technical nature of products
  • Understands pricing disciplines & customer profitability
  • Highly organized with a penchant for accuracy
  • Good knowledge of supply chain requirements
  • Ability to control cost
  • Ability to think on feet & provide solutions
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point, and Publisher

  • Degree will be in Marketing or Engineering
  • Professional or DIY sector
  • Good Analytical skills
